Restaurant

[Reducing Food Waste at the Breakfast Buffet]

Food waste—the problem of edible food being thrown away before it has been fully consumed. To address this issue, we are implementing the following measures.
・Thirty minutes before closing time, we transfer some of the dishes to smaller serving dishes.
・We restock dishes based on the number of customers.

[Reusing Coffee Grounds]
Restaurant We’re using the large amounts of coffee grounds generated at and in the lounge to create interior decor that is expected to have deodorizing effects.
In addition, it is said that 80% of food waste consists of water. Since burning water reduces combustion efficiency, we dry the waste first to reduce its moisture content and improve energy efficiency during incineration.

we aim tobe a corporate citizen that is friendly to people and the earth.

Since our founding, we at Fujita Kanko have operated under the corporate philosophy: “We aspire to contribute to the realization of a vibrant and prosperous society by providing wholesome places of relaxation and warm service.” Guided by this philosophy, we have recognized “environmental initiatives” and “initiatives addressing diverse values” as essential and vital to our sustainable growth as a company, and have actively pursued them. These initiatives align with the concept of sustainability, which aims to realize a sustainable society.Moving forward, we will continue to strive to solve social issues and realize a sustainable society through our business operations.

What are the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)?

Adopted at the UN Summit in September 2015, it is an international goal to be achieved by 2030 and consists of 17 goals and 169 targets to eradicate poverty and realize a sustainable society. All stakeholders, including companies, governments, and NPOs, are expected to work together to implement this plan.
