    We are launching the “Let’s Connect on Social Media: Two Bay Area Summer Special Photo Contests—Yokohama & Tokyo Bay Ariake” as a new initiative to connect the Bay Areas. Two winning entries will be selected from each hotel and displayed in the hotel lobbies for one month. As a bonus prize, winners will receive a complimentary overnight stay at the other hotel—the one where their work is not on display. We look forward to your enthusiastic participation.

    How to apply

    1. Follow both hotel accounts: @yokohamawashingtonhotel @tokyobayariakewh_official
    2. Post photos related to the contest theme along with the designated hashtag: “#Let’sConnectYokohamaAriake”
    3. If you mention both accounts in a photo or in the body of your post, it will be easier for us to find it.

    Winners and Special Prizes

    • We will contact the selected entrants via direct message on Instagramwithin one week after the submission deadline at News.
    • We will select two works from each hotel, for a total of four works.
    • The works will be displayed in a 2:3 or 3:2 aspect ratio.
    • As a supplementary prize, we will present a pair of complimentary overnight stays (including breakfast) at a hotel other than the one where the winning entries will be exhibited.

    Example: We will provide an invitation to “ Tokyo bay Ariake Washington Hotel (Tokyo)” to those exhibiting at Yokohama Sakuragicho Washington Hotel. We will provide an invitation to “ Yokohama Sakuragicho Washington Hotel” to those exhibiting at Tokyo bay Ariake Washington Hotel (Tokyo).

    Important Notes

    1. To be eligible to enter, you must reside in Japan; prize shipments are limited to addresses within Japan.
    2. There is no limit on the number of entries.
    3. There are no restrictions on the type of camera equipment used to take the submitted photos. Additionally, there are no restrictions on whether the photos have been edited.
    4. Please refrain from combining these free assets.
    5. Submitted works must be original creations for which the entrant holds all rights (including copyright).
    6. After the submission period ends, we will send a direct message to the selected entrants. After that, please send us your photo files.
    7. Please be wary of fake accounts. The hotel will never ask for your credit card number.
